This article has been extracted from the news with rates on August 19 to have the step-by-step installation of Tannus inserts separately - the Bikeverse method. Of course, we drew inspiration from others as well as from our personal experience with many tubeless setups done so far, including with other types of inserts.
Preparation for the Romania Downhill Cup - Azuga - August 21-22, 2026
In the meantime, the Tannus inserts have arrived, looking like something out of a sci-fi movie, coiled up, with a high-tech material consistency:

I used a soap and water solution to make everything slide easily, aligned the insert with the valve, installed it nicely in the rim, and then carefully inserted the tire with skill and strength in about 3 minutes, not to brag. Well, the tire was already mounted on the other side after I had put both on, then I deflated, lowered, and opened one side where I inserted the insert.
Resources: one person, two legs, two hands, and a lever.

This is what it looks like after fully inserting the Tannus Pro into the rim:

Notice the soap and water solution, it's essential.
Alex made a video of the installation, it will be out soon.
New rim (since the old one got punctured at Poiana Brașov, you could see through it), new disc, and new pads:

I also did the 50H service on the shock, inner tube, and fork lower leg, to ensure everything runs smooth, and we are ready to run, well, Alex, because I will be riding the electric Whistle C8.7, a delight. If you want to test it, approach me, it's red, you can't miss it.
For the competition, make sure to do your services too, a Psst:

Put on new pads, have spare pads, and preferably new tires, according to your budget.
See you in Azuga in two days!
Stay close!
